Recurring schedules that build themselves
Most lawn care work is the same properties on the same cadence. Set a property up once as weekly, biweekly, or every ten days, and the visits generate forward instead of being retyped every Monday. Rain days get moved without unpicking the rest of the season.
Each visit carries the address, the gate code, the dog on site, and anything else your crew needs to not phone you from the driveway.
Crews clock in from their own phone
No app store download and no company hardware. Crew members open the site in their phone browser, see only today's stops, and clock in and out at each one. Location is captured at clock in and clock out, and a clock-in from somewhere unexpected is flagged for you to look at rather than blocked, because sometimes the truck really is parked around the corner.
Photos as proof, before the invoice argument
Checklists per job type, with photos attached to the visit. When a client asks whether the beds were edged on the 14th, the answer is a timestamped photo rather than a memory. This is the single feature that pays for itself fastest in seasonal work.
Profit per property, not just revenue
A $60 cut that takes 90 minutes is a loss and most crews do not find out for a season. Because pay is derived from logged time entries rather than from the schedule, Settles can show what each property actually cost you in labour against what you billed. That is the number that tells you which route to re-price.
Getting paid, including e-transfer
Invoice from a completed visit or a month of them. Clients can pay by card through a hosted link, and card payments post against the invoice automatically. For the clients who insist on e-transfer, those get recorded against the invoice too, so your receivables are one list instead of a bank tab and a guess.
Settles is never the merchant of record and never holds your money. Card payments go through your own Stripe account, straight to your bank.
Snow in the off season
